Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Craniosacral therapy involves very light touch — often less than 5 grams of pressure (about the weight of a nickel).
The practitioner gently places their hands on areas such as the head (cranium), spine, or sacrum (the base of the spine) to assess how the craniosacral rhythm — the subtle motion of cerebrospinal fluid — moves through the body. The idea is that restrictions or imbalances in this system can affect the nervous system and overall health. Through gentle adjustments and listening, CST aims to help the body release tension, improve fluid flow, and restore balance.

CST is often used with babies and young children because it is extremely gentle and non-invasive. Practitioners believe it can support development and comfort by helping to release physical or emotional tension patterns that may arise from:

  • birth stress/trauma

  • feeding/latching difficulties

  • colic/reflux/digestion upset

  • sleep challenges

  • torticollis or flat head

  • developmental regulation

The therapy helps to calm the nervous system, encouraging relaxation, better sleep, and smoother physical development. Babies often respond by relaxing, yawning, or sleeping during or after a session.

Jasie is absolutely phenomenal at her craft. I went in for a relaxing massage and received that and an incredible amount of work on my shoulders. I haven’t had such a perfect blend of relaxing and effective massage in a very long time.
